Back and Ready

What is this?? What is this?? Remember me??? Yes, folks, I'm back.  I took a super long blogging break but I'm excited...to be back!  Honestly, I was overwhelmed with work and other priorities that I was taking horrible care of myself and, thus, blogging took a back seat.  I'm not ashamed to admit that after having Olivia, my post-partum depression was at an all time high and with going back to a high paced career and adjusting to life with two kids, it took it's toll on me.  Thankfully, although I don't ever think my working mommy guilt will ever go away, I'm getting a better handle on things and life is great.  I'm looking forward to continuing this blogging adventure and posting about life lately including an amazing trip to New York just my husband and I took!  Oh and I also have been shopping!  For reals though, I feel like I haven't shopped for myself in forever and it finally feels great to buy a nice handbag...or two...

Oh and I'm also training for a marathon!  So.Much.To.Tell.You.

The Comfiest Tee Ever

Happy New Year!  Yes, It's late January and this is still my first post of the year.  My little baby girl just turned 6 months old yesterday but I am still trying to get into the swing of things.  Just when I thought I could devote more time to blogging, work started getting even busier and adding that with a three year old boy, 6 month old, Etsy store business, and who knows what else, life has been cray.  I so miss blogging though so I hope to make this a more regular thing.

Although I haven't really shopped for myself lately, one day my neighbor sent me a message that she had just bought every single color in this top and that I just had to get one!  I don't typically buy v-necks but it was on sale so I thought it could be a nice weekend top.  Not only have I dressed this down for the weekend, I made it work for the office as well and I luuuurrrrvvveee it!  Seriously, comfy comfy comfy!

Working Mom Uniform

Long gone are the days of blow drying my hair in the mornings, setting them in curlers, gracefully putting my makeup on while sipping coffee and listening to Bravo in the background.  Basically, mornings are a blur now and by the time I get to the office, I feel like I've already worked a full day.  I wouldn't trade my new normal for the world but with the good you get a little craziness in the mix.  So now I have what I call a working mom uniform which is basically a tunic long enough to cover the bum, legging trousers that are work appropriate and some sort of long necklace or necklace of any sort.  Done.  It's my go-to, don't-need-to-think-about-it outfit for those mornings that you wish you could restart or drive yourself to the spa or nordstrom or target or back to bed.

Floral Peplum Top

Don't mind the headless pictures...it's just better this way...#insomnia

And suddenly we're days away from Christmas.  I, of course, will have to finish shopping during my lunch breaks this year because life.  Oh and I also have not sent out our Christmas cards.  Frankly, I'm surprised that I even remembered to order them this year.  One day, I will have my sh*t together but today is just not that day.

I'm still loving this floral peplum top that I bought earlier in the summer.  Although, I can't find it online, I linked a similar top below!

Christmas at Disney World 2016

Another Disney trip in the books!  We love living so close to the parks that we can just pop on over and spend the whole morning at one of our favorite places, the Magic Kingdom.  Lucas is at the perfect age to enjoy everything and I love experiencing that with him.  Little Miss Olivia also got a button since it was her first time at Magic Kingdom.  We went to Epcot when she was 2 months old since it's an easy park to maneuver and we weren't sure what Disney would be like with a baby.  Luckily, Disney is amazing and the babycare centers are top notch.  If you are ever hesitant on taking a baby to Disney, don't be.  Changing and feeding Olivia was a dream.  Not only are the employees there asking me if I needed any assistance, there's also a movie/tv room for siblings to be entertained.  In fact, when I had to change Olivia, I wasn't near the babycare center but there was a nice resting area under a tent where I could quietly feed her while my husband took Lucas on the Dumbo ride.  Disney truly is magical for people of all ages!  And Christmas time at Disney World, I mean, it just can't get any better than that.

That Time I Matched My Kids

Yep, that's right.  I bought us all matching outfits.  No shame in my game.  I even bought my husband a matching shirt but he wouldn't wear it.  Rude.  So he looked like the odd man out, not me of course.  The lady matching her kids, nope, I didn't look weird AT ALL.  In fact, I plan on matching my kids in the future.  Yep.  In all seriousness, I couldn't wait for this day to come.  When I was little, my mom made us all match and I hated it.  Now, I plan on trying to get away with matching as much as I can.  Since I know my husband doesn't read here often, I'm going to make sure he is in the car and not looking when I put the kids in the car so that when we get to our destination, POOF, we're ALL matching and he won't have an opportunity to change.  I'm a genius.
