Basic Witch

Another day, another oversized sweater and flats to the office kinda day.  But it's Halloween!  I am so so so excited for both my babies to dress up tonight!  Lucas chose his and Olivia's costumes and they will be going as Woody and Jessie from Toy Story.  I mean....holy cuteness!

The pictures have a weird light and lines throughout but I couldn't love this oversized sweater more.  I bought it during the anniversary sale right before my maternity leave started and since I wore pajamas for three months straight, this was my first time wearing it.  I usually go for blacks and neutrals but this burnt orange color was just perfection.

Oversized Season

Let's be honest.  I don't need it to be fall nor winter to wear oversized sweaters.  I live in Florida and, yet, year round you will find me in oversized sweaters.  And I don't hate it.  But it just so happens to be socially acceptable now to wear slightly longer and baggier sweaters so I don't stand out too much despite the weather still being hotter than a chicken's coop.

The Cover the Booty Shirt

Just a quick post today to give a shout out to the genius who invented high/low tunics.  That person deserves an award, a prize, a billion dollars.  Seriously.

Laces Up

The pictures do not do this top justice but I am loving lace up tops!  It reminds me of the 90s for some reason.  This one has a striped pattern that, again, is hard to tell in the pictures but I am obsessed.  Anyone else thinking the 90s are coming back around?

Pumpkin Patch 2016

Last weekend, we took the kiddos to the pumpkin patch which is one of my favorite fall traditions.  It was Olivia's first time at a pumpkin patch and she was quite the diva.  Just like her mama, she's not the outdoorsy type and let us all know it.  Lucas, as always, had a great time and wore himself out on the bouncy houses and slides.  This was also to first real outing as a family.  I hardly ever left the house during my maternity leave because Olivia caught a cold early on and I wanted to stay indoors as much as possible before her vaccinations.  It was wonderful to be out and about and gave me a glimpse of all the fun outings we have to look forward to in the future.

Finding A Routine

The pictures are blurry, the clothes are wrinkly, and I forgot to put on mascara which pretty much ruined my day.  Kidding aside, it was a hot mess of a morning but I am determined to get back into the swing of things which includes blogging.  So if you can look past the blurry pics and mascara less eyelashes, I am wearing a peplum top which I swore I would never do.  This pattern called to me though and I couldn't stop my hand from adding the top to my shopping cart.  Thankfully, the top isn't too froo froo nor makes my waist look wider than it already is (HELLO POST PARTUM BABY WEIGHT THAT WON'T GO AWAY!)

And here is the precious reason why our morning got thrown into a loop...someone decided to wake up an hour before she usually does.  I didn't mind the extra cuddles though.  Not. One. Bit.
