Going Green

If it seems like I just wore this dress, it's because I did.  My husband, son, doggy, and I just moved in with my parents for two months until our first home is finished with construction.  And so I only brought with me a handful of clothes.  My husband looked at me in awe when he saw I had only brought a small, tiny and minuscule portion of my closet.  I am literally doing one of those 30x30 challenges except it's more like 30 pieces for 60 days.  Eek!  Wish me luck!

Gray Days

It's been a couple of gray days lately and I'm not just talking about the weather.  This is my fun space where I share lighthearted things but fact of life is that some days are a struggle.  Whether it be a hard days work, working mom guilt, sick baby, etc, it's hard.  I know that's vague but I'm sure I'm not the only one who may have these days and I'm also aware that I have a lot to be thankful for.  Well, it's Wednesday so that means the week is almost over and I have the weekend to look forward to.  I plan on doing lots of birthday crafting!

Buttoned Up

We spent the entire weekend packing and unpacking up our old place so we are exhausted.  For a couple of months, we'll be living with my parents until our new home is finished building.  My husband did the majority of the work so that I could take care of Lucas.  Moving already stinks but moving with an 11 month old sucks.  Luckily, Lucas wasn't phased and my parents set up a pretty awesome playroom/nursery.  On a completely unrelated note, my pictures are uploading with a weird green/blue tint.  Does anyone using blogger know how to get rid of it?  Random.  See, my mind is all over the place.

11 Month Update and Old Lady 31

My love is 11 months old today and I'm an old lady at 31 today.  Okay, 31 isn't old but pretty cray that I'm over 30 now.  Eek!  Lucas is every bit of delicious.  He always has been but now he's more active, walking, talking up a storm, but the tantrums I could do without.  Yes, my 11 month old throws tantrums that puts Naomi Campbell to shame.  We're gearing up for his first birthday and I can barely believe it.  How has an entire year flown by so fast?  I love this little boy with every ounce of my being and watching him explore new things is one of my greatest pleasures.

Dream Vanity

With our house hopefully being finished building by October (fingers crossed!), I've got decorating on the brain.  I was thrilled to be asked by One Kings Lane to curate a mood board for their Reflect Your Style campaign.  If you haven't stopped by One Kings Lane, I urge you to click over and you won't regret it.  One Kings Lane is one of my favorite shops and I'm sure I'll be spending lots of time there lately getting ideas on decorating and making some great purchases while I'm at it.

For our home, I'm gravitating towards whites, blues, and golds.  I'm craving more clean lines but still have a classic look.  I love these pieces I found currently being sold at One Kings Lane.  I think they compliment what I envision by dream vanity/desk to look like.  Of course, I'd most likely add some of my beauty must-haves to my vanity.  Let me know if you find any great items or what your dream vanity would look like! 

Tropics

So I told my co-worker that I wouldn't be able to eat lunch at the office because I needed to make a quick Target run.  I had found out that Target had in stock hazelnut filled cookies and, obviously, this was an emergency.  Too much money later (doesn't that always happen at Target, or is it just me) I look in my bag and spy this cardigan with pineapples all over it.  PINEAPPLES people!  How stinkin' cute is it?!  At least it is in my opinion.  Because of what I do for a living, I spend a lot of time in the courtroom and who is going to be mean to an attorney wearing a pineapple print cardigan?  I mean really.  I should note that I did not wear this to court.  I'm not sure judges will have the same feeling as I do about pineapples on cardigans.  Crazy, I know.
