Birthday Wishes

My mind is on Lucas' birthday, moving, and home decorating (hence the random lamp I'm loving) so I do not plan on splurging on any birthday gift for myself this year.  I'm lame.  However, if I was a billionaire, I would splurge on these items plus a trip to Greece, beach house, and an apartment in NYC.  But only if I was a billionaire, ha.

Outfits of Work Days Past

It's no secret that I've seriously slacked on outfit posts.  Some days we'll take pictures but I just don't find the outfit or pictures blog worthy.  I'm striving to be more inspired and dress up a little more because I do believe that if you feel like you look well, your attitude is better.  I'm starting to work out again and think I've gotten into a routine.  Hopefully, getting into a workout routine will help me in opening up the options in my closet as well.  Oh, and  yes, I am as pale as Casper and will definitely need some sun this summer...

Summer Lovin'

Summer is in full effect here and I'm definitely craving some new summer staples.  I'm also hoping to tough out the heat and spend some time outside.  My pale skin could definitely use some sun!

10 Months Old

10 months old and I can barely stand it!  I can't believe that I'm almost done writing his updates.  He has such the little biggest personality.  He is such a smiley and happy baby when boy when those tantrums hit, whoa.  On Mother's Day, he started clapping and has not stopped clapping since.  It meant a lot to see his clap for the first time since I get sad thinking of all the firsts I may miss because I'm working.  He's standing up a lot but no walking yet and as of right now, he has eight teeth.  Yikes!  He's my favorite little guy and, if you can't tell, I'm in love.

Jeweled

I've slowly but surely started getting the urge to buy clothes for myself again.  Plenty of reason existed for not wanting to buy new clothes (pregnancy, post preggo weight, spending boat loads on baby clothes and toys, saving up for the house down payment, etc) but I'm sort of tired of my closet.  I'm nowhere near losing all of my baby weight.  My baby is almost 10 months old (eek!) and I still have not lost it all.  I vow to do so during the summer because I miss all my colorful pencil skirts that have not seen the light of day in over a year and a half.  Thankfully, J.Crew rolled out some awesome sales and mail day has recently been more exciting.  Seeing all the new summer stuff in stores has me seriously craving fun sundresses and sandals.  I may do a post soon of all the goodies I'm eyeing!

First Mother's Day

That was my little guy at only four hours old with a combover and smiling and on the left my guy at nine months old.  I can't believe how big he's gotten!  

This Sunday will be my first official Mother's Day.  Last Mother's Day, I was pregnant with Lucas and was pampered at the spa but this weekend, I plan on doing nothing but lounging around and chasing my little boy around.  

Lucas has certainly changed me in so many wonderful ways.  I'm a mother now but I don't know everything.  I live each day learning new things and adapting to whatever Lucas' needs are.  There are hard days but the good days are far more in abundance and make the hard days memories disappear.  I'm learning more about myself as a person and mother as well.  The other day I had to wake up early for an out of town trial that kept me away from Lucas the whole day.  It was the first day since he's been born that I hadn't seen him at all.  Before Lucas was born, all day out of town trials didn't faze me.  It's part of my job.  But this time, any time the judge called for a break, I was rushing out of the courtroom to check on Lucas or text my mom to send me more photos.  I'm obsessed.  He's my world and I'm honored to be Lucas's mami.  Happy Mother's Day!
