Happy Holidays

Things will and have been quiet on my lil blog here.  I appreciate the continued support and comments while I've been away.  I'll be back to my old blogging self after the holidays.  I plan on spending time with loved ones, celebrating my cousin's wedding in Puerto Rico, and, of course, Christmas!

I hope you have a happy and safe holidays and a very merry Christmas!

Weekend Through My Iphone

1.  My husband and I went to Jacksonville for the weekend to do ALL of our Christmas shopping.  We called it 'Christmas Extravaganza'!  My feet were killing my by the end but I am starting to feel like my old self again!  After a couple of weeks of pouting and moping around, I woke up and decided to snap out of it. I'm still feeling pretty sick and, for me, it's more like roller coaster sickness than just morning sickness.  It definitely makes work interesting and having to go in front of a judge during your first trimester should be outlawed ;-)  Nonetheless, I'm learning how to cope with the sickness and growing belly so I'm starting to feel better!
2.  My husband gave me an early Christmas from Kate Spade and I love it!  I've never had a wallet before which now sounds strange.  I should post a picture of what I was carrying before but it's too embarrassing so I'll just describe it.  Picture a zipper pouch the size of a credit card with a drawing of a dachshund on it.  Yeah...I needed a wallet.
3.   My love, Mia.  She was cold and did what any smart dog would do - bundle up :-)
4.  Apple Pie Caramel Apple with white chocolate and cinnamon get in mah belly!  Don't judge me for craving and devouring an almost $8 dollar apple...
5.  Any Workaholics fans out there?  Cee Lo Green...Reptar...So Tommy Pickles of me.

Berry Lines

Excluding a dress I accidentally purchased from the maternity section this summer, this sweater is my very first maternity purchase.  Even though this sweater was in the Gap Maternity section, I don't really see what makes it "maternity."  It fits a little looser and longer so those are the only differences I see.  In regards to maternity clothes, I only want to buy essentials and maybe a shirt or two that doesn't fit the "essential" mold.  However, I work every day from 8:30-who knows when so I'm realizing that my idea of just buying three things may not be realistic.

We took these photos early morning Saturday and it was super foggy which is why the pictures are sort of blueish.  These were also the only non blurry pictures...photographer/husband fail!  We were on our way out to go car shopping which my husband says was his "push" present.  He CLEARLY does not understand the concept of who receives a "push" present :-)

Holiday Kilt

First, I want to thank you ladies for the extremely kind and sweet comments!  I am forever in awe of how amazing you are and for your kindness that I wish I could thank you in person.

Second, I wore this to my mom's holiday party.  My mom posted a picture of the two of us online and, instantly, I received a text from my sister asking "ummm, why are you wearing a kilt?"  Sisters...they bring you back down to earth ;-)

New Norm

I'm so behind on reading all of your amazing blogs!  Every day I think as soon as I get home, I'm going to catch up on my reader.  It's one of my favorite things to do when I get home to unwind.  However, the new norm has been to get home from work, change in my pjs, and LITERALLY go to sleep.  Like 7 p.m ish sleep...then I wake up at 4 a.m and toss and turn until it's time to go to work again.  I'm told that the 2nd trimester gets better so I'm looking forward to feeling like myself again.  I know it sounds selfish to complain.  I really am grateful and excited for my little one to arrive in a couple months. This is just the tired nauseous Maria typing talking :-)

Playing it Safe

Nothing too interesting going on with this except that it was comfortable but that's not too interesting either.  Have I stressed enough that I prefer comfortable over anything?  In fact, as soon as I get to my office in the morning, I immediately remove my watch and bracelets.  Some may ask what the point of even wearing them in the first place may be.  Habit, I guess.  I just prefer to be the most comfortable as I can be if I have to be at work all day.  I'm being honest here people...I'll show the good and not so great :-)
