Fashionspirations: Blogger Style

Ever since I started reading fashion and lifestyle blogs a couple years ago, I found myself being inspired by other bloggers to make the extra effort to look nice in the morning even if I didn't feel like it.  Reading other blogs has also inspired me to incorporate more color into my wardrobe that was once 90% black or white.  

One of my favorite bloggers, Skylette from Sequins and Stilettos, wore this outfit recently and, as you can tell,  I was more than inspired by it since I nearly copied it to the tee!  Skylette has such great style!  Whereas, before, I probably would have just worn black pants, but seeing Skylette wear her striped top with colored pants opened my horizons :-)   Has anyone else been inspired by something you saw on a blogger, pinterest, etc?

Pink Ice

A trend I am loving at the moment is cap toe shoes and I love these from Ann Taylor!  I've been seeing cap toe shoes everywhere lately and I hope to scoop up some more soon ;-)

Summer Freshness

With the start of summer, many stores are having major sales and promotions.  I have been taking full advantage of many of my favorites stores 50% already reduced prices and have found great deals!  But does anyone else's hubby suggest that for every new item you buy, something old must get thrown out?  Or is that something evil my hubby came up with????  In all seriousness, I really like the idea of taking something old that I've been hoarding since college or bought on a whim that hasn't been worn and giving it away.  I always keep a pile of things to give away in my closet to give to my sisters.  So I guess hubby's idea wasn't so bad... lol

Summer Vacations

I can't believe it is already June!  To me, June is the official start of summer as well as it being my birthday month.  To officially start off the summer, I think about any summer getaways I plan to take or even past vacations I have been on.  By far, the best vacation I ever took was my honeymoon.  I blogged about my honeymoon here; however, to document our amazing adventure even further, my hubby and I took a million video snippets to remember our time in Paris.  Below is a little video of our honeymoon.  It's a little on the long side but I couldn't figure out how to cram 8 days in Paris into just under a minute.  Paris truly is magical ;-)

Coral Court Confessions

Although I wore this orangy coral sweater at work all day, I didn't wear it to court in the morning and stuck to my usual black and white ensemble.  I have a hard time trying to incorporate more color into my court appearance outfits because I'm not sure how I will come off to others.  I know I shouldn't care about what people think and just what makes me happy but I can't help to think that others will perceive me as being to "girly" and not the female attorney I want them to see me as.  Hmmm...this is getting deep ;-)

On a side note, my hubby added an instagram thingy to my blog, woot woot!  So, ever since I started reading fashion blogs way back when, I used and still use google reader to keep track of my favorites.  I've slowly started to add blogs via google friend connect but I still haven't transferred all of the blogs I read off reader.  Does anyone have any preference over one or the other, google reader vs. GFC?  Which one is better and why?  Thanks and have a great Friday!
