Pink Charming

 I started feeling a little sickly yesterday which carried on into today.  Whenever I'm feeling sickly and have to be in the office, I wear something that I am most comfortable in which to me are pants and a sweater.  It's fuss free and comfy which are things I long for the most on days when I'm sickly...well, besides being home in my pj's watching Bravo reruns all day long...

Yellow and Black

I've worn this Loft sweater a couple of times before just never with the black shirt underneath.  I get to work and someone tells me that I'm channeling Star Trek with this look.  Although I did see the new Star Trek movie that came out a little bit ago, I'm not familiar with Star Trek nor did I ever watch the show.  I thought, there's no way someone on Star Trek had a yellow sweater with a black collar...

I guess Captain Kirk and I share similar tastes...

Go To Black and White

Black and white are definitely my go to colors when I can't think of anything to wear.  The color black in general is my go to with everything.  My hubby always would tell me that I wear and have way too much black clothes and it isn't until now that I realized how right he was...I just won't ever admit that to him ;-)  Let's hope he doesn't read today's post!

Sweater and the Dress

I think the majority of what I ate this weekend was all sugary sweets...hence the sweater and dress combo ;-)  My mom's friend sweetly gifted me a box of macarons and I nearly devoured the entire box in one sitting.  Seriously.  The next day, my parents came back from Puerto Rico and brought back soooo much food.  I really can't complain though since it was delicious.  Here's to hoping I add more vegetables to my meals this week :-)

Happy Mother's Day!  An extra special happy Mother's Day goes out to my mami :-)  She's a special mami that raised four spoiled rotten girls and makes us laugh all the time.  Feliz Dia de Madres!  

P.S. My mom made my wedding veil and crystal ribbon for my wedding dress!

I'm apparently terrified of candles?  Or maybe I'm crying over those bangs...thanks mom :-/

Brush Strokes and Bows

Whenever I go shopping, I almost always have one item in mind.  I'm incapable of just browsing stores.  I'm always on a mission for that one item that I have to scour the entire city for.  Hence why my hubby hates shopping with me.
The day I bought the Ann Taylor cardigan I'm wearing in the pictures, I said to the hubby, "I'm looking for a sweater that looks like it has a brush stroke design."  I know, I'm a joy to be around.  Needless to say, he went off on his own while I went on my search.  Not only did I find my brush stroke cardigan at Ann Taylor but it was on sale too!  I love it when that happens ;-)
