The Lodge and Gardens

For the holiday, my family and I spent most of the week at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.  It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was perfect.  Best of all, my sweet little sister, Adriana, was able to make the trip from NYC.  It's always nice getting to spend time with her.  Since she lives in NYC, she's definitely used to the cooler weather and could get away without bundling up like I did :-)

Owls in Florida

I've talked about my owl obsession here but now I think I'm just loving all things with actual animal images on them.  I find this animal trend so whimsical and fun that I'm happy I spotted this sweater at Old Navy for a reasonable price.  With trends, I don't like to spend too much and this sweater was right up my alley.  Anyone else loving this animal trend?

Matchy Matchy

Did anyone watch True Blood Sunday??? OMG! This outfit ended up being two outfits in one.  I had another court appearance in the afternoon so I ended up taking off the sweater and belt then throwing a blazer on over the blue shirt.  Every outfit I wear to work has to have the potential of being able to be worn with a blazer in case I have to be in court.  However, my two in one outfits have been more useful for just in court lately because of this heat!  I've been having to shed at least one layer a day to fight this Florida heat.  One might suggest that I don't wear a sweater in the summer but I just can't sacrifice my sweaters ;-)

Summer Freshness

With the start of summer, many stores are having major sales and promotions.  I have been taking full advantage of many of my favorites stores 50% already reduced prices and have found great deals!  But does anyone else's hubby suggest that for every new item you buy, something old must get thrown out?  Or is that something evil my hubby came up with????  In all seriousness, I really like the idea of taking something old that I've been hoarding since college or bought on a whim that hasn't been worn and giving it away.  I always keep a pile of things to give away in my closet to give to my sisters.  So I guess hubby's idea wasn't so bad... lol

Blue Skies

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!  It's  hard to go back to the office after a long weekend but it always helps to know that at the end of the day, I have a lil doxie to snuggle with and DVR to look forward to :-)

The REAL Party Dress

Happy Memorial Day!  So this is the dress I ended up wearing to the wedding that I got all dressed up for on Saturday when the wedding was really on Sunday!  I've always been so bad with dates and invitations.  It's a fact that I can go weeks without picking up my mail which is so so bad.  I once missed a friend's bridal shower because I never checked the mail and didn't open the invitation on time!
