Bow Necessities

Monday morning, my sister, Melisa, sent me the text below.  She lives in Nashville so she had no way of knowing that I wore a completely similar outfit to hers last week!  I had to share her text because not only was it random that we wore something similar but that she referred it to a Dainty and Decadent outfit! Ha!  Out of the four girls in my family, Melisa is the second born.  She was my maid of honor and one of Lucas' godmother's.  She has truly been such a wonderful aunt to Lucas and so have my other sisters.  Lucas is such a lucky boy to have have both sides of our family love him so much.  My sisters ask for daily updates of him and I gladly oblige...I mean, it's not like I don't take hundred of photos of him a day (those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I'm one of those moms!)

Neutral Tones

This week has flown by and I'm so excited for the weekend!  Some of our family is in town for Lucas' baptism and it has been nice spending time with my aunt this week.  Because I can't help it, below are some pictures of Lucas we took yesterday.  Since there isn't much you can do to accessorize baby boys, socks have became our thang.  I absolutely adore putting funny and cute socks on Lucas so I've been scouring the internet for socks that look like shoes.  Thrilling, I know.  However, I think they look adorable on him - my little old preppy baby boy!  I adore these Trumpette socks and I ordered these as well.  My cousin also gifted Lucas a Tous pacifier clip and oh my goodness is it beautiful!  Lucas is definitely a spoiled little boy and very much loved by many.

Down, Set, Hike!

Don't worry because this cute little football did not get spiked.  It was his first Gator football game, though!  Hence my super glamorous get up.  I've never been the girl to dress up or look put together for football games but I envy those girls that do.  Lucas slept through most of the game but we liked to pretend and say that he was watching the whole time.

The night of the game, my sister and parents kept Lucas for the night.  I thought I would be okay and had plans to do a little shopping in the evening then have dinner with my husband but my hormones had different plans.  I was a crying mess and had to take a Tylenol PM.  Seriously.  I'm a mess though Lucas, I hear, had a great time and slept a lot.  The only thing that kept me from going to pick Lucas up (which by the way was just a mile away from me) was realizing that my husband and I really needed just one good night of sleep.  We got the sleep and then rushed to pick up our baby early Sunday morning.  How I will ever go back to work and not cry all day is a mystery to me.  Any advice is much appreciated!
