It's that time again! Of course, I will wait until the weekend before Christmas to start shopping because I always procrastinate. This past weekend, instead of holiday present shopping, instead I ended up buying the kids more clothes since the deals were so good! I'll start holiday shopping soon and in the meantime have been making lists of things to get for family members. Every year I say I'll start shopping in October but no...I'll wait until the weekend before...

DIY Ginger Jar Ornaments
Being sick all last week was the pits so I made the best of it by DIY-ing some Christmas ornaments for our tree this year. My love for ginger jars has no bounds and after searching everywhere for ginger jar ornaments, I decided to make my own. I bought white ornaments from Hobby Lobby and a couple of blue Sharpies and got to work. As for the patterns, there was no rhyme or reason and I just looked at all the jars around me for inspiration. If you were to try something like this, I would recommend buying a couple more than just two Sharpies because the ink runs out quick. This was a fun project and I will probably make more next year!

Christmas Wish List for Momma and Son
It's the holiday season and I am thrilled to decorate our new home and help Santa pick out some gifts for a sweet little boy that has only had a few naughty moments this year! I already gave my husband a Macbook Pro for his birthday/early Christmas gift and plan on getting him a few little things on Christmas day. Mr. Lucas, though, is on the move which is why most of the gifts I plan on getting him are activity type toys. I can't wait to get to shopping for every one else in my life!

Baby's First Christmas
The holidays just came and went way too fast! I have to say that this Christmas was the best Christmas to date! Yes, Lucas enjoyed the wrapping paper way more than any gift he received but it even more than the gift part of the holidays, I so enjoyed time with family. All of my sisters were in town so Lucas was very spoiled by all the love and gifts! My house literally looks like a toy store and I'm trying to calm my OCD self down. Mother of a little boy here so I'm sure there will be even more clutter the older he gets...but I wouldn't have it any other way.

What Would You Wear to See Santa?
I obviously did not put much thought into what I would wear on Sunday's visit with Santa but Lucas...oh, Lucas was fancy...
Those eyes melt my heart! Yes, they really are that blue and he gets it (and everything else) from his daddy. My husband is celebrating his 31st birthday today! On Sunday, we went to visit Santa and it was just as magical as I had imagined. My parents and sister met us to visit Santa which definitely helped cheer him up. Lucas cut some teeth this weekend and started feeling more tired than usual. Having family there not only was special since it was Lucas' first time sitting on Santa's lap but they helped make him giggly. I loved his outfit so we went outside to snap a few (or hundred) photos to remember this special day.
In case you were wondering (because I know you were!), here's what Santa wore:
I also finished more holiday decorating and made a new chalkboard message:

Lucas and I have been very good this year. We would love to see all some of these items under our Christmas tree this year!
