The Trumpet Sleeve

I thought long about this purchase.  To trumpet sleeve or not to bell sleeve.  Typically, if I have to think about buying something this way, I usually end up not purchasing it because it isn't something that I just have to have or, of course, need.  In this case, I thought, it's pretty and I literally have nothing like it so why not?  I have to say, the color is pretty and it was a nice change from my usual tunics and/or striped top.  I'm trying to branch out more and out of my box/rut and although I'm by no means a risk taker when it comes to fashion, it's baby steps towards a more rounded wardrobe for me.

Finding A Routine

The pictures are blurry, the clothes are wrinkly, and I forgot to put on mascara which pretty much ruined my day.  Kidding aside, it was a hot mess of a morning but I am determined to get back into the swing of things which includes blogging.  So if you can look past the blurry pics and mascara less eyelashes, I am wearing a peplum top which I swore I would never do.  This pattern called to me though and I couldn't stop my hand from adding the top to my shopping cart.  Thankfully, the top isn't too froo froo nor makes my waist look wider than it already is (HELLO POST PARTUM BABY WEIGHT THAT WON'T GO AWAY!)

And here is the precious reason why our morning got thrown into a loop...someone decided to wake up an hour before she usually does.  I didn't mind the extra cuddles though.  Not. One. Bit.

Girly Dress

I remember much of my pregnancy with Lucas was spent in dresses and rarely in pants.  This time around, I rarely have worn dresses and have opted for flowy tunics and leggings.  This dress is probably one of three maternity items I purchased this entire pregnancy and I love it!  It's not something that I can wear every week but I had to buy it when I saw that Old Navy also made a baby girl romper in the same print.  Yep, I'm going to be that mom that wears a matching outfit with my daughter and I couldn't be more thrilled...her...probably not so much!

The One With the Tent

It's simply that time, folks.  The time where everything I wear will unapologetically make me look like a tent.  I'm actually happy to be in real clothes though after spending a little under a week in bed rest.  My Braxton Hicks contractions kicked it up a notch and bed rest was the medicine.  I am an on the go person, wakes up at 5 and is on the go until I lay my head down on my pillow, so bed rest wasn't as luxurious as it may sound.  Baby Girl is doing great though which is what's important.  So I'll take the tent look over last week and hope it's a trend that catches on!  Or maybe not...

The White Pants

This here is a first for me...white pants.  White pants while pregnant no less.  I can't lie, throughout the entire day, I would examine my pants to see if I smeared ink...or cheetos...but, thankfully, these survived an entire day at the office.  And I have to say, I'm a fan!  I practically live in blank or dark gray work pants so this was a nice departure.  Maybe I'll even brave some white jeans #goals
