Floridian Safari

We're all moved in!  Well, almost everything is in boxes in the garage so I'm praying that they will Mary Poppins themselves into place inside.  It's a weird work week but I'm not complaining.  I hope everyone is having a great start to the week :-)

Summer Minty Loving

Is being obsessed with one color normal?  I did say earlier that I was obsessed with pink but I think mint beats all other colors by a lot.  All the rain lately has made our Florida summer evenings a little (VERY little bit) cooler so this mint cardigan from J Crew was perfect for me.

Grass is Greener

Today is moving day (or Magic Mike night depending on how you look at it)!  This is what I wore to move.  Practical right?  It was only 3 miles down the road.  Just kidding :-)  But it is moving day...and Magic Mike night...Moving attire for me looks more or less like a 13 year old girl going to gym class.  So stylish I tell ya but I am going to change for Magic Mike night...
Speaking of Magic Mike, I was at my grocery store and noticed a poster advertising that Magic Mike would be performing at the children's section of the public library. My first thought was, ummmm why would Magic Mike be performing for children?!? Then I realized that Magic Mike is actually a local magician. Phew! The kiddies are safe for now. However, I can't help but think that there will be some disappointed desperate housewives that end up showing up to see Magic Mike perform at the library...

Purple and Stripes

The weather is absolutely terrible in Florida and has been non stop raining.  Days like these calls for comfy clothes which to me are pajamas but I can't really wear that to work.  My next comfy outfit is cardigan and pants.  Oh how I long for the days where wearing pajamas to work is acceptable...I promise to make them cute pj's!

Mint Storms

Oh, that's just a tropical storm blowing around behind me.  No big deal.  It didn't stop me from having to go buy more moving supplies and using up birthday gift cards.  I also used the outing as an opportunity to try out my new mint jeans from Loft.  This is my first time venturing out into colored jeans and I think I'm hooked.

The rest of the day was spent packing and trying to catch up on Game of Thrones and Housewives.  Aww, rainy and stormy days...

Fashionspirations: Nautical Anchors

This J Crew Anchors Aweigh top was another J Crew sale find over the weekend and I am so so happy to have snagged it.  I fell in love with this shirt when I saw how cute it looked on Tara of Mix and Match Fashion and saw this nautical look on Blair of Atlantic-Pacific.  I see many possibilities with this top :-)  Once again, the top is much cheaper in store than online and has an extra 30% off!

Birthday Girl

Today is my 29th birthday.  It's the last year that I can say, "I'm in my 20's,"  and I'm okay with that.  I'm looking forward to making this year great.  I know it sounds cliche to say that but I truly want to kick in my 30s with the expectation that I did my 20's proud or that I accomplished as much as I could.

I look forward to embracing changes that come with growing older and wiser.  I, also, look forward to continuing my career and this lil ole blog.  I never thought I would actually start this blog but I'm so happy that I did.  I've enjoyed reading all the comments and emails and connecting with other bloggers.  I very much look up to you all for daily inspiration and appreciate all the kindness that has been shown to me.  Thank you so much :-)

Dusty Golds and Greens

Things I learned Friday: After looking at these photos taken in the afternoon, I apparently spend a lot of time sitting on my legs at work and end up with wrinkly pants.  So professional...

We have a fun weekend planned but I don't know what the plans are...hmmm.  Monday is my birthday so hubby said that he is taking me somewhere some day this weekend or Monday but I'm not to know any specifics other than that.  He's always good at planning surprises so I'm excited to find out what he has planned!  I hope everyone has a great weekend :-)

Packing Treasures

My hubby and I did some packing this weekend and I uncovered some (or a lot) of accessories and clothes that were hidden for the past two years.  These sunglasses were one of my finds that I found underneath the bed.  Yeah, I'm that bad at housecleaning that for two years, these were under the bed!

Elementary School

I feel like I wore something similar to this in kindergarten.  I spent much of my elementary school years in mismatched rainbow colored outfits with jelly shoes and a big flower hat (think Blossom). Real cool I tell ya.  By the time I reached my mid twenties, I maybe had three shirts in my closet that had some sort of color on them.  Now, as I approach my 30s (shhhh!), I find myself wanting to channel my elementary school wardrobe but I'll leave the jelly shoes and big flower hat at home ;-)
