Abstract Greens

I'm linking up today with the lovely Tara of Mix and Match Fashion for her What I Wore To Work linkup.  As I've mentioned before, I'm cycling through maternity clothes and realize that I have settled on basics.  Lately I've tried to still wear my pre-pregnancy clothes but as these photos plainly show, this poor Anthropologie cardi is struggling!  Oh well.  Small price to pay for a (fingers crossed) healthy baby boy :-)

Village Nut

I start getting a little nutty by Friday because usually during the week is go go go but Fridays...oh Fridays.  I begin to unravel and think of all the things I need to finish before the weekend.  I'm just lucky I have amazing co-workers (husband included) that keep me sane :-)  Have a great weekend!

Grandfather Shirt

A couple years ago, my grandfather came from Puerto Rico to stay with my parents for a little while.  I was living in Jacksonville at the time but would come visit every weekend to spend time with him.  He used to wear a shirt, similar to the one I'm wearing, all the time to the point it got a hole in it.  He asked me to throw the shirt away since he couldn't wear it anymore but I must have gotten it mixed in with my laundry since I found it in my suitcase when I got back home.  He passed away shortly after but I never threw the shirt away and keep it on my blanket throw stand for safe keeping.  It's an odd memento to keep but warms my heart whenever I catch a glimpse of it.  Has anyone else kept odd mementos?

Mad {Wo}men

I love television shows that I strictly watch for the fashion.  Mad Men is definitely one of those shows.  I don't actually watch legal shows (with the exception of 'Suits') because it drives me crazy when they do something that you can't actually do in real life.  However, I must admit, I watch waaaayyy too much reality television shows.  One of my new favorite shows has to be the Honey Boo Boo show on TLC.  Please watch it people.  I need this on the air forever...along with Dance Moms and Real Housewives of insert any city.

Grass is Greener

Today is moving day (or Magic Mike night depending on how you look at it)!  This is what I wore to move.  Practical right?  It was only 3 miles down the road.  Just kidding :-)  But it is moving day...and Magic Mike night...Moving attire for me looks more or less like a 13 year old girl going to gym class.  So stylish I tell ya but I am going to change for Magic Mike night...
Speaking of Magic Mike, I was at my grocery store and noticed a poster advertising that Magic Mike would be performing at the children's section of the public library. My first thought was, ummmm why would Magic Mike be performing for children?!? Then I realized that Magic Mike is actually a local magician. Phew! The kiddies are safe for now. However, I can't help but think that there will be some disappointed desperate housewives that end up showing up to see Magic Mike perform at the library...

Fashionspirations: Nautical Anchors

This J Crew Anchors Aweigh top was another J Crew sale find over the weekend and I am so so happy to have snagged it.  I fell in love with this shirt when I saw how cute it looked on Tara of Mix and Match Fashion and saw this nautical look on Blair of Atlantic-Pacific.  I see many possibilities with this top :-)  Once again, the top is much cheaper in store than online and has an extra 30% off!

P.S. Please excuse my wrinkly mess.  I am severely incapable of staying neat and tidy during the day :-/

Memorial Day Colors

Why hello there Maria's pasty legs!  Another hello goes out to my hubby photog whom you can see in my sunglasses.  Uh oh hubby...your cover is blown!  He's not actually a photographer...just a nice guy that wakes up early to take photos and pretend to be walking the dog if we think someone might be watching our little photo shoot :-)  Hope everyone is having a good start to their long weekend!

Sweater and the Dress

I think the majority of what I ate this weekend was all sugary sweets...hence the sweater and dress combo ;-)  My mom's friend sweetly gifted me a box of macarons and I nearly devoured the entire box in one sitting.  Seriously.  The next day, my parents came back from Puerto Rico and brought back soooo much food.  I really can't complain though since it was delicious.  Here's to hoping I add more vegetables to my meals this week :-)

From the Vault: Honeymoon in Paris

Two years ago, the hubby and I celebrated our honeymoon by spending a week in Paris.  It was AH-mazing!  The weather was perfect, the food was awesome, the shopping was fabulous, and the city was beautiful.  We went way overboard on the eating and I may have spent a little much on my dream bag...It was a fantastic week and I can't wait to go back!
