These Tired Eyes

I only have a few short weeks until my baby girl makes her arrival and as exhausted as I look in these photos, is it weird that I'm going to miss my bump?  And as much complaining as I've done throughout this pregnancy, is it weird that I'm going to miss being pregnant?  I'm pretty sure that this baby will complete our family so as uncomfortable as I feel right now, I'm trying to savor each moment.  My husband and I were talking about how fast this pregnancy went.  My pregnancy with my son felt like it was two years long since all we did was talk about the baby, baby, baby.  Now, with a very active two year old, full time jobs, decorating our new home, dealing with our son's schedule, blah blah blah, it was like I was pregnant and now she's almost here.  Time is such a crazy thing.  Needless to say, I'm going to try to take some extra days off so that I can enjoy this short time as a family of three and appreciate where we are in life right now.

Double Trouble Stripes

It's now been a week since I've been back at work and I'm still heartbroken.  I work from home on Mondays which makes things a little easier but I definitely had a loooong ugly cry Monday evening as I started preparing things for the morning.  Once I am at the office, it is not so bad.  Luckily, I've literally been in court every day this week which makes the day go by quicker.  My mom sends my lots of pictures and videos throughout the day and that helps as well.  Hopefully, once we get into more of a routine, I won't feel like such a monster when I drop him off at my parent's house in the morning.  Once thing is for sure, this weekend will be spent snuggling lots and lots with my little guy...and maybe checking out the Phillip Lim collection at Target ;-)

Growing Fears

Ready for a TMI fear?  Since I'm planning on working all the way up to labor, I fear my water will break at the office or worse...in a court hearing.  My last hearing is scheduled for July 8 and until then I have one more scheduled.  So should I bring a towel to sit on?  I mean, how embarrassing if my water breaks during a hearing?  I've asked my attorney friends if their water broke in court but I haven't heard any horror stories yet.  I know it's silly to worry about but I live in a small community...who's going to forget the woman who's water broke in court?  Oy vey.

Simple Grays

Thank you for the birthday love!  30 is already shaping up to be a good year.  My mom and I have decided that this baby is coming way earlier than my mid July due date which my feet are thankful for.  They are so tired of the only two pairs of shoes that barely fit!

Linking up today with the lovely Tara of Mix and Match Fashion!

Dirty Thirty Birthday

Today is my 30th birthday...yikes! Yesterday was the last day I could say I'm in my 20's, so I guess these pictures accurately reflect that I'm in mourning (only kidding!)  My H says that I'm all grown up now because he's been asking me what I would like for my birthday and I couldn't think of one thing.  Old Maria probably had a list of possible birthday gifts (I'm a brat and I know this) but this year all I could think of was dinner and sleep!  So I guess I went from being 29 years old to 80 years old.  This year will be one of the best years of my life and I'm so looking forward to this next chapter.

To quote a Tim McGraw song, for "my next thirty years, I'm gonna have some fun, try to forget about all the crazy things I've done.  Maybe now I've conquered all my adolescent fears and I'll do better in my next thirty years...my next thirty years, will be the best years of my life.  Raise a little family and hang out with my [husband].  Spend precious moment with the ones that I hold dear.  Make up for lost time here in my next thirty years."

Spaced Out

Pregnancy hormones are annoying.  I'm the first to recognize that I can be a world class monster biotch and the next second be super sweet (well, to an extent).  What has caught me off guard though is pregnancy brain. Whooooaaaa.  For example, on Monday, I was looking forward to watching OC Housewives on Bravo.  I got my juice ready on my night stand, positioned my Snoogle, but there was still 5 minutes left until the show started.  I decided to watch another channel until Housewives started.  The whole time I'm watching this other channel, in my head, I'm thinking how much I can't wait to watch the new OC Housewives.  I look at my clock and decide to click over to Bravo and the flipping show is over!  I completely spaced out.  What do I decide to do at this point?  Cry. Cry.  I cried.  I cried because I spaced out and missed Housewives.  This was a pointless example but just goes to show how crazy town my hormones and emotions are recently.  Can anyone relate??  Anyone??  Just lie and tell me yes...

Office Bump

The days here are getting nicer but, unfortunately, the combination of pollen and just sickiness has me feeling gloom.  Luckily, I'm able to work from home at times but I'm one of those weirdos that actually prefers to get work done at the office.  I'm trying to rest up though because it is so nice out and I'd like to do as much as I can now before the baby comes.  I find myself opening the door to the nursery and spending a couple minutes in his room wondering what it will be like when Lucas is here ;-)

Oh and a big thank you to those of you that helped me figure out how to block out spammers.

Village Nut

I start getting a little nutty by Friday because usually during the week is go go go but Fridays...oh Fridays.  I begin to unravel and think of all the things I need to finish before the weekend.  I'm just lucky I have amazing co-workers (husband included) that keep me sane :-)  Have a great weekend!

Pattern Mixing

I'm linking up today with Marionberry Style's Trend of the Month which is pattern mixing.  I originally planned to wear a black skirt with this but I chose to wear pants and look at that, I managed to get myself all wrinkly again.  I think I need a steamer in my office.  Oh and I am wearing a necklace it's just hiding in the photos.  I like mixing different patterns together and have been staring at my closet more and more to see what else I can mix up!

I also wanted to share the gift my hubby gave me yesterday for our two year anniversary!  From the mr. to his mrs. :-)

Have I mentioned that I am obsessed with mint? Oh, wait...I have here, here, here, and here... that's a lot of mentioning.  Okay, I promise to not stop mentioning it.

Note to self: don't wear pink outside because the bugs like it and will bite you over and over and over again...happy Monday :-/

Simple Staples

Sometimes wearing simple basic staples such as a white button down and black skirt just makes my life easier.  Not that getting dressed in the morning is a hassle for me or anything.  However, there are those mornings where I've slept in 20 minutes over my normal wake up time and I don't have much time to think about what I want to wear.  Hence, white shirts and black skirts come to the rescue :-)

Sparkles and Green

Since I regretted not buying the green pencil skirt I saw on sale at J Crew two weekends ago when I was in Orlando, I made it a mission to locate another green skirt.  The city I live in does not have a J Crew and since the online price was much higher, it literally hurt to think I'd be paying way more than buying in store.  Luckily, I found this green skirt at Ann Taylor and it had an extra percentage off.  Score!

Polka Dot Blush Tones

My obsession for pink lately is definitely not as strong as my love for polka dots.  Polka dots and bows to be exact :-)  It's been a busy busy week and I'm looking forward to a good weekend...despite it only being Thursday...grrrrrr...

Pink Obsession

Confession:  I'm not a "pink" person but I'm loving pink at the moment.  Does that make sense?  I don't even think pink looks that great on me but now I find myself combing through the pink clothes rack and shoes...strange.

Matchy Matchy

Did anyone watch True Blood Sunday??? OMG! This outfit ended up being two outfits in one.  I had another court appearance in the afternoon so I ended up taking off the sweater and belt then throwing a blazer on over the blue shirt.  Every outfit I wear to work has to have the potential of being able to be worn with a blazer in case I have to be in court.  However, my two in one outfits have been more useful for just in court lately because of this heat!  I've been having to shed at least one layer a day to fight this Florida heat.  One might suggest that I don't wear a sweater in the summer but I just can't sacrifice my sweaters ;-)

Legally Red

This week is going by quickly and for the first time in a really long time, I may or may not be looking forward to a Saturday.  My hubby and I are moving to a new place at the end of the month and I am determined to start packing/throwing stuff away on Saturday.  I have put this off for awhile and since next weekend we may be busy...this Saturday it is :-/
One thing I am having trouble deciding what to do is when to pack up my clothes.  The last time I did a big move, I was a law student which meant I was basically living in pajamas/gym clothes and didn't have to worry about dressing up.  Now that I have to work every day, I'm not sure when I should pack up my closet.  Does anyone who has moved have any advice?
