Weekend Photo Diary

Well, we planned to go to Magic Kingdom this weekend and meet up with my cousin and her family but Lucas woke up with a fever which resulted in a Saturday morning doctor's visit.  Luckily, it is just an ear infection and he is on the mend.  But this meant that the rest of the long weekend was spent indoors so it was a lazy weekend indeed.  PS: That kid LOVES the doctor's office!  He stays so still while they check him and as soon as we are home, he goes straight to his doctor's kit to check on all of our vitals.  Hmmm, future doctor or veternarian???

Below are a couple of fun things that did happen this weekend.

My hubby did something so incredibly amazing!  The way I shop is online and I'll start a cart at my favorite stores and either wait for a sale or promo.  In that time, I'm usually updating the cart, removing things, etc.  My husband knows this habit of mine and the other day, knowing I've been really stressed, told me that he bought my Nordstrom cart.  Of course I was excited and then it hit me that I had put a David Yurman cable bracelet in pearl in my cart!  I immediately started sweating as I always do with big purchases but he told me that he had been wanting to get it for me and just saw that I had a couple of other things in my cart as well.  My other cable bracelet, my parents bought me for my high school graduation and I have worn it every day since I opened the gift.  The cable buckle bracelet is another my parents bought me for Christmas and I also wear it every day.  I'm so excited to have another bracelet that has a sweet story attached to it.  Isn't he the best??

My Erin Condren life planner has a home!  On Saturday, the delivery man made my planner nerd self so happy when he delivered the most beautiful carry all clutch.  Yes, my planner also has a case now and it's marvelous.  I had been going back and forth on whether I needed a case or not but since I use it daily and it was getting tossed around my bag, etc, I could justify the purchase.   The case is customizable and I really liked this mint color with the scales print.

I revealed myself as a planner nerd last week and as a proud planner nerd, I must now show you my weekly spread before I ruin it with my work-to-do list:

Happy short work week!

  1. What a sweet thing of your hubby to do! The bracelets are gorgeous! I love every single picture here, including the one of your planner. I really want to get one for next year. Is it worth it?

Also, Lucas looks so cute despite being sick ;(

    1. Thank you so much! I 100% recommend this planner! I have tons of anxiety over work, etc, and in trying to pinpoint what I was so anxious about, I found that it all came down to feeling overwhelmed. Now, fully into planning, I feel like I have control over my schedule and it has helped de-jumble my week so that I can feel like it's "handled" Plus, the decorating side it's my favorite! Not only is a creative release but it's been keeping me accountable of my to do list. I completely completely think it's worth it!!!
