Today, I am suppose to work from home but unfortunately an emergency hearing came up so I'm up early to prep and drive to the courthouse. This is a new me that prefers to be at home. Of course, being home means being with my baby but before Lucas, I did not like staying home during the day. My husband used to ask me if I won the lottery would I quit my job and stay at home. I staunchly would reply that I would never quit my job and that I had worked too hard to fulfill my lifelong dream of being an attorney. Well, fast forward to the absolute happiness of taking care of my baby and now, I can honestly say that if I won the lottery, I would choose to only work two days. I really do love my job so I don't think I could ever say that I would completely quit. Plus, I don't play the lottery. I think working and being a mom are going to take some time to get used to but, right now, life is good. Going to the gym will have to wait ;-)

I agree. If I could, I would prefer to work part time so I can still have adult interaction and dress up. I am really bummed that I don't get to hang out more with my son. He's only in kindergarten but coordinating the extra activities is already tough.

You look amazing! Love the shoes! I say that I am a stay at home Mommy but if I didn't have my two days of work I do, I would go insane! If I go a week without working it's like I lose how to talk to an adult or I talk WAY too much which is already a problem I have.
ReplyDeleteYou look just lovely here!
ReplyDeleteYes.. perhaps when we buy a house if we won the lotto I'd stay home too. But we shall see. :)
Love this! That cardigan is so cute Maria, you look very pretty :)
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful and happy - and that is one of my fave cardis!
ReplyDeleteLol I agree about the 2 day a week thing if I won the lottery. I just love my job too much to completely quit! it's nice to see another attorney who loves their job.. a lot of times you only hear about the people who hate their jobs :)
