Candy Colored Stripes

Happy April Fools Day!  If you played a great joke on someone today, please let me know in the comments!  I need ideas for next year ;-)

Can you tell I'm just thrilled that it's Monday?  These were taken last week when it was super crazy busy at the office.  I've been up and down on my feet all day that, sadly, my heels days might be over soon but just until the baby is born.  I'll still save my heels for court days because it would feel odd to me to wear flats in court but that's just me.  Any recommendations for cute work/court appropriate flats?

Dress: Target  /  Sweater: Loft  /  Shoes: DSW  /  Bag: Kate Spade  /  Necklace: Banana Republic

  1. You look great- such a cute little bump! I love those colors together & that cardi is a beauty. I always feel like I'm dressed down/a bit casual when I wear flats as opposed to heels but I think a classic black pair with some studs even) would do the trick for you.

  2. Those colors together are gorgeous! I saw that caridgan at Loft but they didn't have my size- boo! You rocked it!!

  3. Great outfit! I love my rocketdog memories....but when I was that pregnant I wore the orthopedic ballet flats. Sad but true during Christmas in retail.

  4. You are seriously the cutest! That sweater is perfection with the dress :)

  5. That dress looks amazing on you! The color is great! I'm a teacher (not too far away in NE Florida) and on my feet ALL DAY. I love flats from Bass Outlet. They have built in insoles and are really comfortable and still stylish. Not sure where exactly you are but there's a Bass Outlet in St. Augustine and two in Orlando as well. Good luck on the shoe hunt!

  6. Awesome bold colors Maria. That bump is just perfect! !!

  7. Your bump looks great in blue!

  8. The cobalt and hot pink are so pretty together!

  10. Cute outfit! I love the color combo.

As for April Fools Day, my favorite prank was on an old boyfriend. He and his father always gave me a hard time for not knowing enough about how my car works, especially since I am such a highly educated woman (I was working on my Masters Degree at the time). Well he and his parents went to visit his younger brother at college during one April Fools Day. I called him during their brunch and told him that my car was out of 'blinker fluid'. He kept saying he had no idea what I was talking about and told me to explain what was wrong with the car. I said that "The light won't turn on unless I push the thing," and that it probably needed more blinker fluid but I didn't know where to get some. He was convinced that I was a complete idiot. This conversation went on for a good five minutes before I finally said, "It's April Fools Day and I'm asking you about blinker fluid. Give me some credit, will you?" Mission accomplished!!!

  11. You are braver than me, I never wore heels when I was pregnant! You look so cute as always!! If you get a minute, I'd love for you to vote for me the Wallis Blogger Contest!!:) Link to vote is on my blog. Thanks:)

  12. Hmmmm, my friend is a paralegal and always wears flats to work! She wears little wedges during court days. Maybe a pretty but stable wedge would be suitable? I know she has some from Nine West that are really classic.

  13. You look fantastic! great combo

  14. Hi! Blue is definitely your color. I feel really weird in court if I have flats on...it has happened a couple of times to me (last year I had a little foot mishap where I had a bootie on :( )...I think that Banana Republic makes a comfy flat - it's called the Ashley ballet flat.

  15. Love that blue dress Maria! Looks so pretty on you! I suck at April Fools ideas/jokes!

  16. Such a pretty dress! I love the cardigan with it too. I always wore heels to the very end. I was stubborn!
