I've been seeing everywhere that burgundy is the "it" fall color this year; however, I've never followed color rules when it comes to seasons. Although, I do feel more fall-ish wearing bolder colors, I just wear what I like and if it happens to be pastels - it just happens to be pastels that day. Anyone else follow certain color combos for each season?

I tend to wear brighter colors in the spring/summer and crave for grays and blacks come fall. About a month into fall...I start looking to add color back to my outfits.
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo!

Love these colors together! I'm usually so far behind on fashion trends that I end up wearing whatever colors I want to...
ReplyDeleteYou know it's funny because I loved both this outfit and the last one you posted and they are on the opposite color spectrum. They both look amazing! However I AM looking to add some burgundy in my life and that was BEFORE I realized it was the new fall it color.
ReplyDeleteThese colors look really lovely together! Both pieces can definitely be brought right into fall.
ReplyDeleteI love how you paired the bight skirt with the pastel cardi- great look.
ReplyDeleteThese two colors are so pretty together! I tend to wear darker colors in the fall and bright colors in the spring/summer. I don't love burgundy but I'll probably wind up buying something in that shade since it's everywhere!

I've been wanting this skirt for a while...keeping an eye out for it on ebay! You look great and I know brights are for fall and they are trying to throw out the no white after labor day so I think there are no rules for fashion anymore!
ReplyDeleteI dont like to follow rules either! You look darling!!

I love these colors on you! When fall comes around, I'm naturally drawn to richer earthy tones, like olive green, mustard yellow and burnt orange. They work well with my skin tone and are season appropriate, but now that I live in FL, I think I'll have a great mix of summery hues and fall hues. :)

I'd say just go with what you're feeling. I do tend to wear darker colors in the fall though. Just fits with the bitter winters here. ;)

Hey, you don't have to wear oxblood every day in order to embrace the trend! This outfit looks great. I especially love that necklace. You could even weave in some oxblood (in a blouse) with that great skirt!

I don't follow color rules either...so we can both keep rocking our summer colors!
ReplyDeleteI just need to finally buckle down and get that J.Crew bracelet! It really is so stunning on the wrist. And I agree, although I think I naturally gravitate towards jewel tones in the Fall, I still love brights too!
ReplyDeletelove the pastel colors -- you look fab! xo

LOVE this pastel combo!!! I don't intentionally follow the IT seasonal colours, but the problem is is that is what you find in the stores, so I sort of get tricked into it. :) I'm liking bordeaux right now so I will buy a few pieces, but I'll definitely continue to wear pastels and any other "non" season colours!
